Dear Friend,

As we celebrate the third anniversary of What Women Want, we are amazed to witness the growth of the campaign from its beginning in India to a global campaign that mobilized the voices of 1.2 million women and girls! What Women Want is a resounding call for better quality health services. Our focus now is to make this unprecedented and powerful collection of voices a driving force behind sustained local, national and global change.

For some women, the simple act of being asked for their views has been a first. This campaign broke the culture of silence and now it is on all of us to deliver on women’s requests. Fortunately, we have a new tool to aid these efforts—the What Women Want Interactive Dashboard that allows anyone, anywhere, the opportunity to hear directly from the women and girls who responded, in their own words. We must carry the torch to reach more decision-makers and leaders to meaningfully respond to women’s demands!
